Giuseppe Silvestri (1841-1921) was an Italian classical composer and mandolin virtuoso. He is principally remembered today for his role as a mandolinist and for his composition ''Serenade d'Autrefois'' (''Serenata medioevale'' or ''Serenade of Olden Times'').
